I left IG last April and never looked back. It did nothing for my business except cause me frustration. Substack is the only SM I use now, as I left FB this past fall. I have my accounts open in case people need to reach me through DM, but notifications are off. It has been a fabulous difference. I love Substack because it's about sharing ideas and making connections, not about jumping on the latest trends to get seen. Much more my pace. Welcome to the club!

I'm so glad to hear you've figured out what works for you (and thanks for the warm invite to the club). I find there is so much less mental noise without it. Whenever I wander onto SM, it seems like people are yelling at me. Too much information coming at me, too quickly and too many opinions! I'm not sure if you've noticed the same.

Have you noticed any big changes in your screen time? Any transferences?

I am playing games on my phone, but I did that anyway. I am listening to more audiobooks, which I enjoy, but overall my mind is quieter. I feel like I get to move at a slower pace and have more real conversations with people. Like this! I don't regret my exodus for multiple reasons. I definitely don't miss it.

Yes! The quieter mind is one of the most pleasant (and for me, unexpected) benefits! Along with more real conversations and better focus. I don't regret it either!
